Sunan Muria Biography
He is the son of Devi Saroh - the younger brother of Sunan Giri, the son of Sheikh Maulana Ishaq and Sunan Kalijagi. His name is Raden Pravato. The name Muria comes from the residence of his Terhira on the slopes of Mount Muria, 18 kilometers north of the city of Qudus. His preaching style was in many ways similar to that of his father, Sunan Kalijaga. Unlike Father Sangoi, however, Sunan Muria prefers to live in a very remote area and far from the center of Islamic religious teachings.
He prefers to interact with commoners, equating farming, commerce, and seafaring. Sunan Muria was often used as a thug in the internal conflicts of the Demak Sultanate (1518-1530). The decision of the decision can always be shared by all conflicting parties. Sunan Muria preached from Jepara, Taiyu, Juana to Qudus and Pati. One of the results of his vocation through art is the song "Sinam and Kinanti".
